Title
Mildred Wohlforth with Eleanor Roosevelt at Barnum and Bailey's Circus
Description
Accompanying Text: "Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt insisted that only women newspaper correspondents be assigned to cover and report upon her many government and political activities. This was a boon to female reporters and they were quick to take advantage of it. Shown in this photo is Mildred Gilman, upper right, beside Alice Longworth and daughter, Pauline, at a Washington performance of Barnum and Bailey's circus with Mrs. Roosevelt and her two grandchildren, Sistie and Buzzy Dall."
