Mildred Gilman Wohlforth was fearless and prolific in her varied career. As a woman in a male dominated field, she had to fight for what she attained, and later wrote many essays on that experience. Here are collected some of her autobiographical essays, describing her life and career. Also collected here are a small selection of profiles written about Wohlforth over the years. 

Mildred and Eleanor Roosevelt

Mildred Wohlforth benefited from Eleanor Roosevelt's initiative to employ woman journalists, and was brought to the white house on numerous occasions to report on the New Deal, WWII, and other major stories. She developed a deep admiration of Eleanor Roosevelt and wrote of her frequently throughout her career.

Mildred's Work on Planned Parenthood
